Connections is a hand-tufted textile depicting the bifurcation of the Arkansas River. The intentionality of varying yarn pile depths aims to reveal the nature of the river's twists and turns across the country's landscape. As the waters of the Arkansas have carved a path through the earth, these pathways are sculpted into the artwork's fibers.
