Beaded Mirror 02
This work is the second in an ongoing series of beaded mirrors that explore adornment, reflection, and the quiet labor of handcraft. Using traditional French beading techniques, I construct each floral element by hand, wrapping wire and threading beads through a slow, deliberate process that allows the composition to emerge gradually. Over the course of many hours, these materials—rigid wire and small, luminous beads—are transformed into soft, blooming forms that encircle the mirror.
As part of a larger series, this work continues my exploration of how traditional textile and beading practices can be reimagined within sculptural forms. By combining ornamental aesthetics with functional objects like mirrors, I aim to create pieces that feel both intimate and immersive—objects that hold space for reflection not only of the self, but of time, process, and care.
